Dinwoodie. Killed in action, on 19th April, Second Lieutenant David Wallace Dinwoodie, Scottish Rifles, attached Oxford and Bucks, third eldest son of Mr and Mrs Samuel Dinwoodie, 274 Bath Street, Glasgow.

Second Lieutenant David Wallace Dinwoodie, Scottish Rifles, attached Oxford and Bucks. (killed) was the third son of Mr and Mrs S. Dinwoodie, 274 Bath Street, Glasgow. Educated at Whitehill Higher Grade School and the High School, Glasgow, he was apprenticed with Messrs M’Ilwain, Murray & Hay, chartered accountants, St. Vincent Street. Shortly after war broke out he joined Lochiel’s Camerons. He was wounded at Festubert in July of 1915 and in February of last year was given commissioned rank.

Second Lieutenant George Sinclair Dinwoodie, attached to the Royal Air Force, was accidentally killed while flying in England. He was the second son of Mr. S. Dinwoodie, 274 Batch Street, Glasgow and was born 23 years ago at the Schoolhouse, Kirkmichael, Dumfriesshire. He was educated at Whitehill Higher Grade School, Glasgow and in civil life was engaged with Messrs. Dykes & Morton, John Street. Joining the Highland Light Infantry in December 1916, he was twice wounded. In August of last year he received his commission and was afterwards attached to the Royal Air Force. His younger brother, Second Lieutenant D. W. Dinwoodie was killed last year.
