Dobbie. Result of aeroplane accident while flying in Egypt, on 23rd December, Flight Commander Captain Robert (Bert) William Dobbie, Royal Air Force, A.F.C., (aged 24 years), dearly beloved son of the late Rev. R. W. Dobbie, Blochairn U.F. Manse, 9 Broompark Terrace, Dennistoun and Mrs Dobbie, 26 Sandyford Place, Glasgow West.

Captain Robert W. Dobbie, Royal Air Force, who had died at the age of 24 years as the result of a flying accident in Egypt, was a son of the late Rev. R. W. Dobbie, Blochairn U.F. Church and of Mrs Dobbie, 26 Sandyford Place, Glasgow. In June last, Captain Dobbie was awarded the Air Force Cross for courage and devotion to duty when counter-attacking in a Gotha raid over England. He enlisted originally in the Chamber of Commerce Battalion.
