Scotsman, 25th October 1915. ‘Rank and File Killed’

Ballinluig. Trooper Tom O’Brien of the 1st Scottish Horse, died from wounds in hospital at Alexandria. He was admitted to hospital on the 9th September. Mrs O’Brien, his mother, recently resided at Balnaguard, Ballinluig. Prior to enlistment Trooper O’Brien was a traveller in the oil trade.

O’Brien. Died of wounds on the 13th October at the Kasr-el-ainy Hospital, Cairo, Trooper Tom O’Brien, 1-1st Scottish Horse, aged 23 years, only son of the late M. O’Brien and of Mrs O’Brien, 3 Station Road, Busby.
