Archibald Mowbray Brodie – age 23 – Sub-Lieutenant (A) H.M.S. Nabstock. Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.

Archibald was a pilot in 721 Squadron, Naval Air Service, Fleet Air Arm in the British Pacific Fleet This was the first Naval squadron to receive the American built aircraft the Vultee Vengeance and Archibald was killed in a flying accident in Australia. Some records have him as with HMS Nabstock or Nabaron or Nabcatcher. These were all Mobile Naval Air Bases (MONABs) in Australia. (Source: Naval death records, aircrew remembered.com and Wikipedia)
