John Bell Burke – age 22 – Sub-Lieutenant, H.M.S. Quebec, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.

HMS Quebec was the shore base part of the No.1 Combined Training Centre at Inveraray in Argyllshire. Its role was to train army and navy service personnel in small landing craft amphibious warfare. (Source: combinedops.com)
