George Dawson – age 29 – Flight Sergeant (1565756) 31 Squadron, (Royal Canadian Air Force), Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.
George was killed in a flying accident at the Pennfield Ridge RCAF Station in New Brunswick when an Anson of the 31st Service Flying Training School was lost in the Bay of Fundy during a night time navigation exercise. (Source: rafcommands forum)
