John Grant – age 21 – Sergeant/Flght Engineer (1822048) 103 Squadron, Bomber Command, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.
John's Lancaster bomber took off from RAF Elsham Wolds in Lincolnshire for a raid on Nurnberg but was shot down by a night-fighter. John was buried in Oberdachstetten Civil Cemetery but was re-interred in Durnbach in October 1947.
