Adam Carter Hay McConnell-Jones – age 23 – Flying Officer/Navigator (149143) Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.

Adam graduated with an M.A. degree from Glasgow University in 1942. He was commissioned from Sergeant (1550829) in May 1943 and promoted to F/O in November 1943. He had served as Sergeant/Navigator with 429 Squadron, Bomber Command in 1943. He was at the 1655 Mosquito Training Unit at RAF Warboys in Huntingdonshire when his aircraft crashed near the village of Pidley during a training exercise.
