David Henry McNaughton – age 28 – Sub-Lieutenant, H.M.S. Punjabi. Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.

The destroyer “Punjabi” was on duty with convoy PQ-15 when the visibility suddenly closed in and the battleship HMS King George V crashed into Punjabi's port side just abaft the engine room. Her stern section sank almost immediately. (Source: uboat.net)

Son of Henry and Sarah MacNaughton, of 21 Tweed Crescent, Riddrie, Glasgow E1.
