Alexander Murdoch Temple – age 21 – Sergeant (746495) 159 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.

Flying B-24 Liberators, 159 Squadron was posted to Palestine in July 1942 and carried out bombing raids in North Africa, Italy and Greece before moving to India in September 1942. Alexander's aircraft was lost to ground fire near Tobruk. (Source: raf.mod.uk and rquirk.com)
